Positively Porsha Day
June 28th
The PLSW Foundation, Inc. is established to continue the legacy of our dearly beloved Baltimore City Public School Teacher, Mrs. Porsha LaVon Stokes Williams of teaching, promoting, and encouraging academic excellence to students through exposure, experience and resources necessary for success. In her honor we hosted a Positively Porsha Day summer celebration event, where we received a ceremonial salute citation from the Mayor and City of Baltimore. We partnered with the Summer Learning Arts Academy (where Porsha taught during the summer) for a day of positively fun-filled activities in an academic environment. The PLSW Foundation, Inc, and SALA (Summer Arts and Learning Academy) hosted our inaugural Positively Porsha Day celebration event on June 28th, 2022, which was the 1st day of SALA camp classes also Porshas’ birthday. Collectively with the Teachers, Students, Parents, and the Community, we honored and celebrated the life and legacy of our beloved Mrs. Porsha LaVon Stokes Williams and officially proclaimed the date of June 28th as “Positively Porsha Day ” , which we intend to continue annually with positive festivities, food, excitement and energy in an academic environment.
